How do I add the signature to Gmail?

- In Gmail, open Settings (the gear icon) and choose See all settings.
- Under the General tab, scroll to Signature and click Create new. Give it a name.
- Click inside the editor box and paste (Ctrl+V or Cmd+V). The design appears as rich text.

How do I add the signature to Outlook?
Outlook on the web and new Outlook: open Settings, go to Accounts, then Signatures. Click New signature, paste into the editor, name it and save. Choose it as the default for new messages and replies.
Classic Outlook for Windows: File, Options, Mail, Signatures. Click New, paste into the editing box and click OK. Uploaded photos are embedded and show correctly here.
How do I add the signature to Apple Mail?
- Open Mail, then Mail menu, Settings (or Preferences), and the Signatures tab.
- Select the account on the left and click the plus button to create a signature.
- Untick "Always match my default message font" so the design keeps its styling.

- On iPhone, Settings, Mail, Signature accepts a paste too, though images are dropped.
What makes a good email signature?
Four lines are enough: name, role and company, one phone number, and one link. A small photo helps people recognise you in a thread. Skip inspirational quotes and large banners; they get clipped on phones and flagged by spam filters. If you want people to save your details in one tap, add a link to a digital business card or drop a QR code business card at the end. A matching vCard file makes a good email attachment for first contact.
goodbd
Add your goodbd card link and an AI headshot
A goodbd account hosts your photo so it shows in Gmail, adds a button to your live digital card, and turns one selfie into a set of studio-quality headshots you can use in the signature, on LinkedIn and on the card.
Questions about this tool
Is this email signature generator free?
Yes. Pick a design, fill in your details and copy the signature; there is no sign-up, no email gate and no watermark or 'sent from' line added to what you copy. The signature is built in your browser with the same code goodbd uses for paid accounts, minus the card link and branding.
Why does my photo not show in Gmail?
Gmail's signature editor removes images that are embedded as data inside the HTML and only keeps images loaded from a public web address. Paste a hosted image URL in the Photo URL field, or use a goodbd account, which hosts your headshot for you and inserts the correct link automatically.
Will the signature look the same in every email client?
Very close. The three designs use only tables, inline styles and system fonts, which is the subset that Gmail, Outlook on Windows and Mac, Apple Mail and most phone apps all render consistently. Avoid pasting into a plain-text compose window, as that strips the formatting entirely.
Can I add a link to my digital business card?
Yes, with a goodbd account. The signature studio adds a 'View my digital card' button, your social profiles and a QR code, all pointing at a card that updates whenever you change your title or number. This free tool covers name, title, company, phone, email, website and a photo.
