Your contact details
Fill in what you want on the card. The QR code updates as you type and nothing leaves your browser.
Your QR code
PNG is 640 px square for print at up to 5 cm. SVG scales to any size with no blur.
How does a QR code business card work?
The code stores a small vCard, the same contact format phones and email clients exchange. When a camera reads it, the phone decodes the text and opens its "new contact" screen with the fields filled in. Nothing is looked up online, which is why it works in a basement with no signal.
Because the details are inside the code, more text means a denser pattern. Keep to the essentials: name, one phone number, one email, company and a website. If you want socials, a bio, a photo and a booking link too, a digital business card carries all of that behind a short link that fits in a much smaller code.
How do I put the QR code on a printed business card?
- Download the SVG if your designer or printer accepts vector files, otherwise the PNG.
- Place it at least 2 cm (0.8 in) wide with a clear margin around it. Do not stretch it.
- Keep dark modules on a light background; inverted or coloured codes scan less reliably.
- Print a proof and scan it with two different phones before ordering the full run.
Where else can I use it?
Anywhere a phone can see it: the last slide of a talk, the back of a conference badge, a shop counter, a CV, a LinkedIn banner, or your email signature. If you only need the contact file itself, the vCard generator produces a .vcf you can attach or AirDrop directly.

Questions about this tool
What happens when someone scans a QR code business card?
Their camera app recognises the vCard inside the code and offers to add a new contact, with your name, phone, email, company and website already filled in. No app is needed on iPhone or Android; the built-in camera handles it. The contact is saved offline, straight from the code.
Is this QR code business card generator really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no email address to hand over, and no watermark on the PNG or SVG you download. The code is generated in your browser, so your details are never sent to our servers. We make money when people upgrade to a live goodbd card, not from this page.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
Use PNG for anything on screen or a small print like a business card; it is 640 pixels square, plenty for scanning at up to five centimetres. Use SVG for print at larger sizes such as posters, banners or signage. SVG is a vector file, so it stays sharp at any size.
What if my phone number or job changes later?
The code holds your details as text, so a change means a new code and reprinting anything that carries the old one. If you expect changes, use a QR code that points to a live goodbd card instead: the code stays the same and the page behind it updates whenever you edit your profile.
